Budapest based band ‘The Qualitons’ has been active for 11 years now, playing catchy, energetic, psychedelic rock inspired by the sounds of mod-beat and funk music of the 60s and 70s.
With a recently recorded live session at the legendary KEXP radio in Seattle, USA and several gigs around Europe, the band has been building international reputation for their shows and the unique vibe that describes them.
‘Echoes Calling’, their newest album received 2019’s Fonogram Award and was listed as 2018’s best album according to various Hungarian music portals. The new musical material delivers longer tracks, bolder and more progressive sounds accompanied by the band’s characteristic trait, the rich vocal harmonies building on solid guitar grooves.
