Das Electronica-Projekt DROE entstand aus einer Blitzidee in den unendlichen Labyrinthen des Europaparks Rust, als sich Paddy und Sire in der Dschungel-Bar zusammensetzten und über Musik philosophierten.
Nach anfänglichen Songs, die eher im Bereich Industrial/Electro angesiedelt waren und ziemlich beatlastig erschienen, wagten sich DROE auf neues Terrain und produzierten ihre erste Ballade: Tears in Dust.
Es wurde beschlossen, sich weiter auf diesem Terrain zu bewegen.
Man darf gespannt sein.
DROE, an electronica project by Austrian/Swiss duo Paddy and Sire, was established in July 2012 during a philosophical music talk in Europa Park Rust, Germany.
The two founding members were highly motivated to try out something new:
a sort of music that would be hard to categorize.
After a few first experimental songs focused on basslines and beat loops, DROE dared to enter the grounds of slow, expressive melodies and produced their first ballad Tears in Dust.
The result was so convincing that DROE decided to dedicate their future efforts to slow and calm sounds.
In the beginning of 2013, the band's first EP "Dark Romantic Electronica" was published and DROE took part in several contests scoring excellent ranks.
DROE is currently working on new songs for their album debut.
