Based in Berlin, the band started writing in 2013, where Laing´s trademark style of mixing dark blues-inspired alternative rock and orchestral arrangements became increasingly influenced by drummer Gidon Carmel´s rhythmic layering and electronic background. Looping guitar and basslines are decorated by interwoven choir and string arrangements in a way which is at once both beautiful and disturbing.

The Berlin press such as TipBerlin, Zitty, Morgenpost have described the band as being somewhat the missing link between Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Radiohead, using the mixture of classical instruments and "acoustic electronics" (the use of acoustic instruments to create the dynamic and sonic atmosphere of electronic music) to support the lyrical imagery which Laing delivers through the shape shifting variety of his vocal tones and timbres.
