Ambitions of the Son | EP | 2013 |
After releasing his debut The Eternal Now and the EP Ambitions of the Son, Anthony Chorale returns with his upcoming self-titled LP. Incorporating a cascade of chorusy guitars and slap delays, Olivier’s smooth vocals are combined with groovy bass lines and cosmic synthesizers, resulting in modern songs that feel like a cool dive into the surfy, souly sound of the 60s.
Anthony Chorale's upcoming record was produced by Michał Kupicz and mastered in New York by the grammy-nominated mastering engineer Joe Lambert.

Anthony Chorale is the project of award-winning songwriter and performer Olivier Heim, currently based in Warsaw, Poland.
Born in the USA to Dutch parents and growing up in Luxembourg, Olivier showed his musical potential at an early age, playing and composing on piano and guitar. After high school, Olivier moved to Denmark where he would form the award-winning band Très.b with his childhood friend Thomas Pettit and Polish Misia Furtak. After the discontinuation of Tres.b, Olivier now plays as a solo artist under the moniker Anthony Chorale.
Olivier has been awarded with the Fryderyk Award for Best Debut of 2010 and the prestigious Paszporty Polityki Award in 2013.
Starting his solo career in 2012, Olivier released his debut LP The Eternal Now, combining acoustic guitar and cello with Olivier’s characteristic falsetto voice and delicate, minimalistic compositions. Building on the simple, intimate material of his debut, Olivier has shown his true potential by integrating a variety of instruments on his following EP Ambitions of the Son (2013), resulting in catchy, breezy folk songs. The EP is now available on vinyl, released by the Spanish independent label Zozaya Records.
Revealing not only his high productivity but also eclectic song writing abilities, Anthony Chorale has finished the material for his upcoming self-titled LP. Mentioning inspirations such as Kurt Vile, Cass McCombs, Idiot Glee and Fleetwood Mac, Olivier takes his music into a new modern direction, switching to electric guitars, spacey synthesizers and smooth, floaty vocals. The upcoming LP was recorded, mixed and produced by Michał Kupicz and mastered in New York by grammy-nominated mastering engineer Joe Lambert.
