Acrylic is an alternative quintet from Glasgow.

The band formed when Andreas Christodoulidis (vocals), Ross Patrizio (vocals, guitar), Jack Lyall (guitar), Lewis Doig (bass, vocals) and Ruairidh Smith (drums) met at the University of Glasgow in 2013. Having moved in together the following year the band has since built a following across Scotland, performing several times at ‘King Tuts Wah Wah Hut’ and making appearances at Tenement TV’s ‘Tenement Trail’, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (Inverness), OnBlackheath festival (London).

In September 2017 ‘Where I Lie’, the first single from the band’s forthcoming 'All I Am EP' was released on Scottish Fiction records. ‘Where I Lie’, explores fragile connections, the see-saw between feelings of uncertainty in relationships, and moments of clarity and assurance.

The band have been fiercely focussed on developing their songwriting and live performance behind closed doors, dropping only a handful of singles over the course of four years. The EP can be thought of as a culmination of this long process. Out 23/03/2018 on Scottish Fiction Records.
