Wolves Of Youth | EP | 2014 |
Hailing from Co. Donegal in Ireland the band is comprised of Garry Doherty (Lead vocals/Guitar), Stephen Shelly (Guitar/vocals), Ciaran O Reilly (Bass/vocals) and Daniel McGettigan (Drums/Vocals). Their fantastically lively and energetic performances have already garnered them a lot of attention, in spite of the fact that the boys only formed in 2014.
Upon forming, their aim was simple, to create a fiery combination of music and rhythm that was not only lyrically strong but appealed to the masses who were looking for dance anthems.
Their musical inspiration comes from some of the biggest indie-rock musicians of our time, including Biffy Clyro, Bloc Party, Twin Atlantic, and Catfish and the Bottlemen. When compiling this list of inspiration, the lads took all they liked from their individual music tastes and mixed it with their own style to create and hone their own personal sound. This resulted in a wonderfully creative menagerie of noise, one that has become idiosyncratic to the band.
The band have released their wonderful self-titled EP Wolves Of Youth, featuring three original songs of ‘These Days’, ‘Not Leaving Without You’, and ‘Snowflakes’ but their setlist is bursting at the seams with over twenty songs. Furthermore, when the band aren’t touring, they’re eagerly writing away, trying to create some more exciting indie-dance anthems.
With their Up Beat and Energetic live shows, Infectiously Catchy Sound and Addictive Melodies and Lyrics this band will have you up on your feet, singing along and wanting to hear more!
