We Knew John Doe | EP | 2010 |
A first EP called „A Prophecy“ was released in 2011, which enabled the band to participate in many local events and festivals like the Luxembourgish W.O.A. Metal Battle finals and the Food For Your Senses festival. Within the first years of existence, We Knew John Doe proved to be an active live band, which resulted in a support slot for German band Deadlock.
In 2014, shortly after founding member Xavier Hofmann left the band, We Knew John Doe split up. As a farewell gift they released a second EP called „Survivors“, recorded and produced by Xavier Hofmann in his Muschel Productions studios. „Survivors“ was presented and given away for free to their fans on their last show.
Two years later, the decision to revive the band with a slightly altered line-up, including former guitarist Xavier Hofmann and new bass player Sandy Moschetti, was taken on a spontaneous jam session. We Knew John Doe changed their style to a more synth based Metalcore with one guitar and progressive elements, giving the music a more elaborated and modern touch at the same time. We Knew John Doe are currently working on their first full-length album.
