Viven is an Alternative Rock band from Barcelona, Spain. Their first album, El Solitario, is a concept record that tells the story of the leader of an Indian tribe that is destroyed by white men. Being the only one survivor, the leader of the tribe's hunger of vengeance brings him to cross the desert with just one goal: bloody justice. El Solitario travels by the thoughts, emotions and delusions of his main character and delves into the feelings of impotence, anger and despair of the human being. In creating this environment, the band has developed a rich instrumental base that navigates from the most desertic Stoner to the contundent Progressive, mixing it with psychedelic, groovy and epic landscapes. Banjos, dobros, trumpets and other typical American Folk instruments melt with the guitars, bass and drums wall of sound to immerse us into the El Solitario universe.

This first album has been mixed and mastered by the brothers Santi and Victor García at Estudios Ultramarinos Costa Brava (Toundra, Berri Txarrak…). The album was released in November 2014 on Digipack. Viven is now presenting El Solitario on their national tour, and they will hit the European road soon.
