The band creates songs with eccentric beats, prominent synthesizer sounds and live-effects, inviting the audience to be part of its unique sonic and visual experience. SALOMEA experiments with its voice and lyrics, expresses its messages and tells stories, creating paths beyond traditional structures of singing and songwriting.
The sound is influenced by mainstream music, combined with the freedom of improvisation and finally wrapped in quite complex compositional structures. They name artists such as Thundercat, Sevdaliza, Erykah Badu, John Coltrane and Marina Abramovic as some of many sources of inspiration.
Since their formation four years ago they have worked and played their way to the very front of popular Avant-Garde.

SALOMEA has been playing at festivals such as the “Jazzablanca Festival”, Morocco, the Moers festival and the c/o Pop Cologne in Germany and has shared stages with artists like Jamie Cullum and KNOWER. They have been featured several times on German public radio stations (SWR, WDR) and were finalists in the “Neuer Deutscher Jazzpreiss” Award 2018. In March 2018 they played a showcase at the first “Cologne Open” (“Artistic Exchange Platform”) at Stadtgarten.
