-Global Texan Chronicles
J.P. Kallio has worked as a musician touring and recording with several bands, including TRE (1997-2000), Trostan (2005-2006), Anois (2002-2004) and Sliotar (2000-ongoing) Boneyard Bastards (2011-ongoing)
His solo albums portray J.P.'s songwriting skills with sparse arrangements, mostly just his skilful acoustic guitar playing and vocals. J.P. Kallio has a unique way of connecting with listener in his songs and in his live shows, which can only be achieved by years of experience.
In 2014 J.P. Kallio took on a personal challenge to record and release one song every week. As a result his first full length album "Northern Boy" was released on 25th of March to a high critical acclaim and will be followed by "Read Between The Lines" on 10th of June.
"Once upon a time we used to have storytellers; Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson have never sung a song in their lives. They just told stories while we sat and listened in awe. J.P.Kallio has that same quality."
