Josephine grew up listening to world music, hip hop and blues ranging from Persian artist Moein, greats Etta James and Janis Joplin, to rap, most notably Eminem. The melting pot of influence served as the basis for her unique sound and sing-rap cadence much like SZA and Halsey. Josephine’s self-released debut visual album “Love Trap: The Story” released in August 2017 has garnered over 150,000 streams to date and features on publications like High Snobiety & Magnetic Mag to name a few.
Josephine has performed along the West Coast at festivals, clubs and the like. She is currently booking an East Coast tour for Winter 2018 when she will be releasing follow up singles “Friends” and “Tell Me” and a subsequent visual EP reminiscent of 90s nostalgia - “Chasing High” in Spring 2018.
