Ralph Peterson jr. and Holger Nell. During her studies in Europe she moved to the United States to study with Aaron Serfaty, Bob Mintzer and her main teacher Prof. Peter Erskine at University Of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Christin has played on several national and international festivals (Big Band Festival Imatra (Finland), Jazzfestival Grahamstown (South Africa), Port Townsend Jazzfestival (USA)) and toured recently through Middle East, East Europe and China. She recorded albums with one of the best german youth Big Bands (for example "Ellington And More" (2011), "Live At Tula's" feat. Jiggs Whigham (2014)) and took part at the high prestigious "Popkurs" in Hamburg (2014/2015). Next to her new quintet "C.N.'s Oceanside Quintet" her main focus is the new cinematic sound orchestra - "Operation Grand Slam".
Besides from that, she composed film music for the short movie "One last sigh before nightfall" (dir.: Heikko Deutschmann, arte/SWR production) which is successfully running on film festivals worldwide (New York, New Delhi, London, Berlin, Afula/Israel, Kitzbühel/Austria, Middlebury, Vermont/USA) and can be seen in the german television this summer.
Christin is now living and working in Hamburg/Wendland and rewarded with the Composition Scholarship for young artists of the Ministry for Science & Culture Lower-Saxony, the Dorothea-Erxleben-Scholarship at University for Music, Theatre & Media in Hanover and the prestigious Dr. Langner Jazz Master Scholarship at University for Music & Theatre in Hamburg.
