Agona Shporta is a vocalist and arranger from Prizren, Kosovo, renowned for reimagining Albanian folk songs with a fresh, emotionally resonant approach.

Her performances weave together intricate harmonies and a distinctive voice, inviting audiences into a shared emotional space. With a background in jazz and Indian classical music, Agona’s work is characterized by improvisation and unique vocal textures, elevating her reinterpretations of traditional music.

She completed her studies in vocal performance at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, and is pursuing her Masters in Creative Production at the Catalyst Institute in Berlin.

The debut album Hape Portën weaves captivating stories through Agona’s original voice and interpretation, bringing to life the rich melodies and intricate rhythms of both Kosovo and Albania. From the evocative sounds of the northern mountains to the vibrant energy of the southern plains, each track offers a deeply personal experience, highlighting the beauty and diversity of the region’s musical heritage.
